The Paleo Diet – (Eating Like A Caveman)

With so much readily available modern foods destroying our health and ruining our lifestyle. The Paleo diet mimics the types of foods every single person on the planet ate prior to the Agricultural Revolution (a mere 500 generations ago).

The foods are (fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats and seafood) are high in the beneficial nutrients, (soluble fiber, antioxidant vitamins, phytochemicals, omega-3 and monounsaturated fats and low-glycemic carbohydrates) that promote good health. They are also low in the bad ingredients (refined sugars and grains, saturated and trans fats, salt, high-glycemic carbohydrates and processed foods) that frequently may cause weight gain, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and numerous other health problems.

The Paleo Diet
encourages us to replace dairy and grain products with fresh fruits and vegetables (foods that are more nutritious than whole grains or dairy products).

The Paleo Diet
is simple yet amazingly effective for fat loss and halting or preventing a number of degenerative diseases. To reap the benefits of the most effective nutritional strategy known, simply build meals from the following:

  • Lean proteins – grass fed meat (ideally), free range fowl and wild caught fish
    Seasonal fruits and vegetables.
  • Healthy fats such as nuts, seeds, avocado, olive oil and coconut oil
  • Regardless of your fitness or health goals, you will look, feel and perform your best on the Paleo diet.

    For most people the fact that the The Paleo Diet delivers the best results including improved blood lipids, weight loss and reduced pain from autoimmunity is proof enough. Many people are not satisfied with blindly following any recommendations, no matter if they are nutrition or exercise related. They need to know why they are doing something. Fortunately, the The Paleo Diet has stood not only the test of time, but also the rigors of scientific scrutiny.

    The Paleo Diet is not without it’s detractors and controversies. Don’t worry about that, we will look at those here as well.

    I also don’t believe that you have to follow The Paleo Diet 100%. I like some of the things that aren’t allowed on the nutrition plan. Don’t worry they aren’t bad things but a little tweak here or a little add there that will keep things fresh but still healthy.
